How a side project turned into a tiny farm.
It started, honestly, with a salad. Matt brought home a tray of microgreens from a farmers' market and the two of us couldn't stop eating them straight off the tray. They tasted nothing like the bagged greens we'd been buying for years. Brighter. Sharper. Sweeter. Just… alive.
So we did the obvious thing: we tried to grow some at home. One tray became three, three became a rack, the rack became a closet, the closet became a real grow room. Somewhere in there we both said the quiet part out loud — Montclair deserves this every week.
So we built Matt & Santi's Microgreens to be the opposite of a faceless produce label. We're the two people growing it. We're the two people delivering it. If you have a question, you're texting one of us — usually within a few hours, occasionally at a stoplight (sorry).
We're not trying to be the biggest farm. We're trying to be the freshest one. Cut this morning. In your kitchen this afternoon. That's the whole pitch.
